Font Snob

Bio: I grew up in Mid Michigan, but moved to Grand Rapids to go to Kendall College of Art and Design, where I graduated from in 2017. I’m an INFJ, Leo, Type 2 Eneagram, and my Disney Princess is Rapunzel. Besides taking pointless online personality tests, I find myself constantly creating, whether it’s graphic design, pallet furniture, or new routes to the same places. My passion lies in the creative process and getting a little lost to find a unique answer. In my spare time, I also play and coach volleyball and play fetch with my cat.

Where’s your favorite place to take an out-of-town guest?

The Winchester! It sums up everything I love about Grand Rapids: local, great food and atmosphere and of course great beer!

What is your favorite candle scent?

Pine. It reminds me up summers up north!

Why do you love working with nonprofits?

I once had a debate about designing ads for a cigarette company. Could my conscience handle selling a product that could ultimately kill the consumer? I was so passionate about saying “no, I wouldn’t do that,” that I spun my philosophy on design in the other direction. I only want to use my profession to better people’s lives. That’s why nonprofits are so special to me; each mission is so carefully crafted to make lives better. There is no better thing to sell than happiness.

What is your favorite type of donut?

My favorite donut has chocolate frosting with custard in the middle. I love all donut shops, but I am on the hunt to find my favorite still.
